The Congress is one of the leading scientific meetings of the international cosmetics industry. Every two years, the scientific program highlights the latest developments in cosmetics research. The event also offers participants a platform to present their latest innovations in cosmetic ingredients and packaging materials and establish interesting business contacts. The biennial trade meeting coincided this year with the 50th anniversary of the Spanish Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SEQC), which organized the event. Two key suppliers also exhibited at Brenntag Química’s stand: the McIntyre Group and Momentive Performance Materials. For McIntyre, the congress was an opportunity to present their new developments in hair conditioners and skin care, as well as a new line of non-irritating preservatives (free of phenoxyethanol, isothiazolinone and parabens). Momentive showcased its innovations based on silicone technology for anti-wrinkle and other skincare products. The Personal Care division from Brenntag in Spain also presented two new suppliers: Givaudan (fragrances) and Tagasako (heating and cooling agents). The congress was a major success for Brenntag. The stand was visited by numerous expert representatives from leading Spanish cosmetics companies, who were impressed with the high scientific level and expertise of chemical distributors.
