More Service For Brenntag Customers
On December 5, Brenntag announced the acquisition of distribution companies Aromaster, Ltd. and Trend Gida, Ltd., making it Givaudan’s exclusive distribution partner in the aroma segment in Turkey. Givaudan, a prominent producer in the international fragrance and aroma sector, took over Quest International from ICI Group as early as 2007 with a view to extending its market leadership. Since then, Givaudan has continually optimized its distribution activities with Brenntag as its exclusive partner. Brenntag Central and Eastern Europe (Brenntag CEE) took over Givaudan’s distributor Aromaster Ltd. back in May 2008. This was followed by the acquisition of Trend Gida Ltd., former distributor of Quest International. As partners to Givaudan, both companies are focused on the distribution of specialty chemicals. The product portfolio includes aromas in both liquid and powder form. Helmut Struger, Managing Director Brenntag CEE GmbH: “The acquisition of Aromaster and Trend Gida will boost our presence in the South Eastern European chemical distribution market. These transactions will allow us to further increase the attractiveness of Brenntag for our customers and suppliers, and to further improve our services in the food and beverage sector – our strongest business division in the CEE region”.
