In 2005, Brenntag’s market presence was further increased by the establishment of its own subsidiary, Brenntag Kimya. At that point in time, the core business of this subsidiary included the local polymer and food sector and the distribution of selected industrial chemicals. Through the acquisition of Abaci A.S. in 2007, the portfolio of products was extended to include home and industrial cleaning, cosmetics and water treatment. Continual growth was the upside of this success. The new office building is centrally located in the Kavacik district on the Asian side of Istanbul. The property, which was built as recently as March 2008, has an accessible central location, state-of-the-art technology and attractive architecture. Brenntag leased the entire building with the exception of the first floor. With a total of 1,500 square meters over six stories, there is not only sufficient room for Ernst J. Hartmann’s entire team, but also enough space to accommodate further growth in coming years. On October 9, 2008, an “office-warming party” was held, to which over 200 customers, suppliers, and business associates were invited. Contact: Ernst Hartmann ernst.hartmann@brenntag.at
